We are seeking a skilled and dedicated

Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our neurosurgical team. This position involves assisting in surgery, providing office-based patient care and hospital rounding for a busy neurosurgical practice. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities:

Hospital Rounding:


  • Perform daily rounds on neurosurgical patients in the hospital.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement care plans.
  • Manage post-operative care and update medical records.

Surgical Assistance:


  • Assist surgeons during neurosurgical procedures as a first assist.
  • Prepare patients preoperatively and support intraoperative care, including wound closure.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.

Office-Based Patient Care:


  • Conduct patient evaluations in the office setting, including history-taking and physical exams.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.


Qualifications:

Education and Certification:


  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
  • Active PA or NP license in [Insert State].
  • National certification as a PA (NCCPA) or NP (Acute Care, Family, or Adult).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Experience:


  • Preferred experience in neurosurgery, critical care, or a surgical specialty.
