Software Development - Technical Lead ($70,000 - $100,000)

Kencove Farm Fence Supplies is growing fast-and so is our software team. We’re on the hunt for a high-energy, hands-on Tech Lead who’s ready to guide our developers, build meaningful tools, and shape the future of how we work, sell, and serve customers in the agricultural supply industry.

This is not your typical code-and-forget position. We're looking for a leader who’s passionate about both clean architecture and clean communication. Someone who can inspire the team, translate tech talk to business value, and get their hands dirty when needed.

• Lead the development of new internal and customerfacing applications across web (Next.js), mobile (React Native or other modern native frameworks), and integrated backend systems
  
• Be a strategic voice in product and feature planning, collaborating closely with business units and operations
  
• Write and review highquality, maintainable code in Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and other technologies
  
• Mentor developers, model best practices, and build a culture of learning and ownership
  
• Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical teams and nontechnical stakeholders
  
• Continuously improve our development processes, from agile workflows to CI/CD pipelines

• 5+ years of experience in software development
  
• 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role within a development team
  
• Expertise in building APIs, architecting systems, and navigating database design (PostgreSQL a plus)
  
• Excellent communication and coaching skills-you can explain complex ideas simply and listen deeply
  
• A passion for making tools that actually get used-and make people�s lives easier
  
• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo), cloud infrastructure (GCP, Kubernetes), and DevOps is a big bonus
